Coloring Outside the Lines....What Fun!

Some goddesses simply refused to use the words provided for the
 2004 "Searches for Sonnets" competition.
Unable to judge their work, we decided to honor
their desire to "march to the beat of a different drummer"
with a drawing from all their entries.

And the winner is ......

 Persephone in dream
This lovely day awash in light,
will follow me into the night.
Will eddy softly in my dreams,
and fall on me in pale moonbeams.

Till I am blooming with the rose,
be water as the river flows.
I'll fly with owl above the trees,
and all Goddess made will be in me
!

Receiving this entry  unexpectedly from a young contestant, the judges decided to add a special
category:

The  man has a child.
He never takes care of the child.
All alone sits the child.
Poor child, that young child.

All alone child,
the child as skinny as a bug.
Like a ladybug the poor child sits alone.

No one's around to comfort him.
He watches you.
It's him blowing a cold blow
down your neck.

He is the monster under your bed,
all the things you are scared of  because he is mad. And all the things you are not  scared  of, he is some of those things too.

To you he is a gentle god, because you are not scared of him, because
you don't hate him.  He is the child.
