November 2010
Another holiday is sneaking up on me!
Thursday is Thanksgiving Day here in the U.S.
This is a crazy week. I get that.
There are family, meals, and
arrangements to be made, not to mention pumpkin pies and stuffing.
It may not be the week you're FEELING most grateful, but . . .
I just wanted to express my gratitude for spending a few
minutes with me each month, and for subscribing to the newsletter.
It means a lot to me!
You know, we do most of our
living in "ordinary" days, taking most things for granted just the
way we do the people we love. Yet there are countless encounters
during the course of each day that call out for appreciation.
The Gift of Gratitude
So while we’re contemplating all that we have in our lives to
be thankful, let’s not forget about our friends. The Goddess often
sends us her energy through our friends.
I, for one, am thankful for our Goddess friend, the Rev. Laurie
Sue Brockway, my favorite 'goddess author' and the kind of
girlfriend who pulls you out of jams and who laughs with you (and
doesn't need canned jokes to start the giggles).
I met Laurie Sue when I was a struggling 'newbie' on the web.
She wrote praising the site (my HOW we do LOVE praise!) and
offering to help us out by allowing me to reprint her article on
the
Goddess Lakshmi at our site. This was a real Goddess-send to
our (then) tiny little site.
And the great news is that Healing Expressions just published
Rev. Laurie Sue's latest eBook. It's about Lakshmi and it is
absolutely awesome! Wait . . . it gets even better. It's being
launched right now at the special price of $7.99 AND it comes with
a bonus book about Lakshmi's 'evil sister', the goddess of
negative thoughts and negative energy and guess what? You've got
to deal with her first, before you can get access to all the boons
that Lakshmi has in store for you. I love it! Here are all
the details:

Just Ask
Lakshmi - New E-book of Prayers and Rituals to Honor the
Goddess of Good Fortune
Over a decade ago, during a challenging time in her
life, author Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway had a vision of
beautiful Indian woman. She writes, "She wore a green sari
and had four arms, and a distinct Indian accent, but I did not
know who she was at the time." Rev. Laurie Sue was given
a clear message by this divine being who she would eventually
come to know and embrace as the Goddess Lakshmi.
Acting on Goddess
Lakshmi's message, she spent years researching everything
there is to know about this popular goddess. It changed her
life in extraordinary ways and set her on a path of love,
success and happiness. Now she shares the secret of attaining
Lakshmi's blessings.
Born of Indian
heritage and worshipped by Hindu people in all corners of the
globe, Lakshmi is
also a Universal Goddess who can be called upon by
anyone of any faith who chooses a spiritual focus for bringing
more good fortune into their lives.
In this powerful
eBook, Just Ask Lakshmi, Rev. Laurie Sue recounts her
personal and shares dozens of
prayers,
rituals and ways to bring Lakshmi closer and bring more money,
opportunities and good fortune into your life. |
Rev. Laurie Sue is also author of "The Goddess Pages,"
"Wedding Goddess," and the ecourse, "Discovering the Goddess."
"Just Ask Lakshmi" comes with a complementary eBook on
"Transforming Negativity." The special launch price is
$7.99. Order at:

On the subject of friends, family and the upcoming holidays . .
.
I've heard from a couple of (?? desperate) subscribers who are
suiting up to host family Thanksgiving celebrations. They were
asking if we were going to send out Laurie Sue's Thanksgiving
Blessing again this year. . . You betcha' we will!
For some of us it may have to
serve as a grace-full antidote to what sometimes happens when the
"close confinement, with large supplies of alcohol, of blood
relations who have had the good sense to keep far apart for the
previous three hundred and sixty four days come together at the
table." (This description of family togetherness
is provided by Reginald Hill, Death's Jest-Book.) Here's
the prayer:
However it is that you're celebrating this year, enjoy what's most
special to you.
And Happy Thanksgiving!
Warmly,
Sharon
